The Case of Ahhmed Elsir Hassan, UAE
Categories: None | Tags: None
We have gone through the sad plight of Mr. Ahmed Elsir Hassan Humida. His case is briefly analyzed as under: - (The same, along with his original mail may be taken for a detailed examination and advice).
Ahmed Elsir Hassan Humida is a Sudanese national, born and raised in the United Arab Emirates and lived there till his mid late twenties. He has stated that his family has been in UAE over thirty years. Thereafter, he was studying in Malaysia. He used to visit his family in UAE regularly.
The reason for his deportation would appear to be his over-stay in the country. Actually, he was planning to remit the fine for his overstay and the same was not paid till he was caught hold of, and sent to jail.
They ignored the fact that the family of Ahmed Elsir Hassan Humida is living in the UAE over thirty years. They ignored all the human values and his agonies on his being deported from UAE on a permanent basis.
Before arriving at their cruel and drastic action of deporting Mr.Ahmed Elsir Hassan Humida, the UAE officials should have given him a last chance to remit the fine for over-stay and allowed him to leave UAE. This was not done.
His mental stress due to his inability to visit his family never again is too cruel a punishment, especially because he does not have any such proven criminal background.
It is not understood as to why the UAE officials who were very friendly and showed a helpful approach in the initial stage of the case turned tough afterwards. (It is true that they had proclaimed earlier that ‘this is our law, those who cannot live abiding the same shall live the country’).
Whatever be the rigidity of their law, an escape door should have been opened to a person who does not have any established criminal background detrimental to the interests of UAE and who has been all the while a law abiding and honest person.
All these points could be brought to the notice of the appropriate UAE officials by a higher Agency and try to get the ‘ban on his entry to UAE’ lifted.
